FOI And Integrity Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Freedom of Information (FOI) and Integrity Officer who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within intergrity for the local government sector.

About your new role

This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is primarily responsible for administering the Council’s obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, which involves managing the entire case lifecycle from document discovery and analysis to drafting formal decision letters and liaising with the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC). Additionally, the officer serves as the organization’s Protected Interests Disclosures (PID) Coordinator, tasked with receiving, investigating, and reporting on complaints regarding fraud and corruption while maintaining prevention frameworks in accordance with AS8001: 2021.

What you will need to exceed

• The ability to handle a large volume of diverse tasks concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve complex issues with limited guidance
• Outstanding oral and report writing skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
• High levels of accuracy and thoroughness in document discovery and analysis.
• A "can-do" attitude and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in processing Freedom of Information (FOI) and Public Interest Disclosure (PID) applications
• A sound understanding of the local government environment and relevant statutory requirements
